Wood Features
Sapele (Sapelli) — tree species, distributed in tropical regions of Africa (mainly eastern and central). The texture, pattern and color resembles mahogany. It is a dense, durable material that bends well. It has moderate durability, which will not be a problem with proper care.
Heartwood is red-brown, growth rings are slightly darker, sapwood is pale yellow. The grains are uniform, pronounced. Medullary rays are noticeable, have dark spots. Wood has a natural luster.
