- Grade A — width 100 mm and above, the surface of the veneer is flat, without core and stem rays, mechanical defects. “Live” knots— 1 piece per linear meter. Color pattern is uniform.
- Grade B — width 100 mm and more. Errors: corrugations (irregularities), stem and medullary rays, “live” knots, color uneven.
- Grade C — width 90 mm and more. The following errors are allowed: corrugation, sapwood (protein part of the stem), stem and medullary rays, knots.

Using of European Pear sliced veneer
European Pear sliced veneer is an exclusive and valuable material, extremely wear-resistant. Well amenable to processing, impregnation, polishing, pasting, bending by steam, fastening.
It is not resistant to rotting, therefore not suitable for outdoor use. In wet areas, the wood will swell over time.
The texture is smooth, soft, with a slight roughness, sometimes there are wavy stains, giving a decorative effect. The color is golden orange. Suitable for imitation of darker wood species, including expensive and rare ebony.

Characteristics of European pear wood
European Pear is common in Eastern, Central and Southern Europe. Wood without distinctive heartwood, diffusedly vascular. The grains are fine and the pores are barely distinguishable. Core rays as well as growth rings are mild. A high-quality quality veneer is produced from it, renowned for craftsmen all over the world.
It has the following advantages: elastic, viscous, heavy, with high impact strength and compressive strength. With proper drying, it keeps its shape well, not prone to warping, cracking and other deformations.
