Characteristics of wood
Sycamore maple — consists mainly of sapwood, with a darker heartwood. The main color is white and light yellow, to the core — darker, reddish-brown. The texture is smooth and uniform, the grains are interlaced. The core rays are diffused, medium in size, numerous. Annual rings are distinct, lighter than the center, denser.
It has the following characteristics: medium density, well processed, resistant to cracking, flexible, heavy, elastic. These properties determine a high-quality veneer.
