Sorting by quality
- Grade A — width 100 mm and above, the surface of the veneer is flat, without core and stem rays, mechanical defects. “Live” knots — 1 piece per linear meter. Uniform color pattern.
- Grade B — width 100 mm and more. Defects: corrugations (irregularities), stem and medullary rays, “live” knots, color uneven.
- Grade C — width 90 mm and more. The following defects are allowed: corrugation, sapwood (protein part of the stem), stem and medullary rays, knots.
By request, we also sort related varieties — “AB, BC”. This makes it possible to fully satisfy requests in the “price-quality” ratio.
Using bubinga sliced veneer
Bubinga sliced veneer is a solid, dense material with a reddish-brown color. The texture is wavy, fibrous, the surface is smooth, slightly luster and oily.
Amenable to treatment, finishing. Bending is problematic due to its high density and the presence of natural oils.
Due to its biostability, it tolerates well such factors as moisture, temperature drops, and is suitable for interior and exterior decorating.

Characteristics of bubinga wood
Bubinga is a tree originally from equatorial and western Africa, including Congo, Gabon, Angola. It is often called the African rosewood tree. It has a clearly distinguishable dark heartwood and lighter sapwood. Due to the strong cross-linking of the grains, unique texture is formed for each stem — wavy, with core vessels and dark tree rings.
It has the following advantages: a good hardness-density ratio, high amenability to the treatment, impressive width and length, flexibility to bending. These properties specify fine veneer and other materials.
