Louro Preto sliced veneer is an exotic material from the wood of the South American tree with the same name. The color is brown, with reddish or olive shades. It gets dark over time. It has a pattern with dark stripes. Very durable due to its density, hardness, wear resistance.
The processing is easy: it is well polished, glues, holds fasteners during preliminary drilling. Resistant to bending. Accepts varnishes, dyes, stain, impregnation and other finishing materials.

Louro Preto is a hardwood tropical species from South America, mainly Brazil. The heartwood has a medium brown color with red or greenish tones. The sapwood is lighter, clearly distinguishable. Grains are straight or interlocked. The texture is dense or medium with a natural luster due to the high oil content. Freshly cut wood has a pleasant, distinctive aroma.
Resistant to insects, moisture, rot, temperature changes. It is easy to process, although when cut it can lead to blunting of the blades due to the high silica content. Wood dust can cause allergies.
