Production of sawn veneer

Sawn lamella is a high-quality veneer obtained by sawing different types of wood. Humidity 8-10%. The lamella from an ash-tree belongs to heavy and firm grades of a tree with good characteristics of durability. Its tensile and bending strength exceeds the strength of oak wood. It is elastic, wear-resistant and more viscous than many domestic wood species. The mechanical properties of wood are better the wider the annual rings. Annual rings with a width of more than 1.5 mm, which is common in “water ash”, is a sign of good wood quality. The clear color of the core does not affect the quality of the wood.

Application of a sawn veneer

The thickness of the lamella allows it to be used where planed veneer acts as a decorative finish. It is used to make three-layer parquet, stair cladding, terraces, interior panels, decor and interior items, decks of musical instruments, cars and yachts. Oak slats are used for interior work.
