Characteristics of wood
Iroko (African teak) is an exotic breed whose wood is compared with teak by mechanical indicators. It yields only in terms of the strength in bending and compression along the fibers. Grows in the tropical region of Africa.
Iroko wood is durable, resistant to wear and biological factors, including moisture, pests, fungi, temperatures. Has high density, hardness. Color ranges from pale golden brown to dark chocolate brown. Medium to coarse texture, with interwoven grains creating interesting patterns. For the convenience, before treatment, it is first recommended using a filler. It is processed easily by hand and using a tool.
